On December 9, 2022, Sheng-ce Tao group of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Zhi-jun Jie group of Shanghai Fifth People’s Hospital published a review entitled "Nuclear acid testing of SARS-CoV-2: A review of current methods, challenges, and prospects" in Frontiers in Microbiology (IF=6.064). This review aims to present a comprehensive view of different nucleic acid testing methods for COVID-19 and help researchers make an optimal choice in detecting COVID-19 at different symptom stages.
